Max Wieliczko is a Partner in HFW’s Construction team and has specialised in construction law since 1987. He leads on complex international engineering and infrastructure disputes and project support. The focus of Max's work is advising in relation to complex engineering projects, including energy generation, process plants and offshore construction.

He has over 25 years' experience advising on waste management and treatment projects, with particular expertise in energy from waste process plants. His experience spans the full project lifecycle, including the construction and operation of waste sorting and processing facilities of all sizes and scales, and he has advised on some of the most high profile disputes in the sector.

Max frequently advises on projects involving cutting edge technologies and multi jurisdictional legal frameworks under both common law and civil law systems. His work includes arbitration, dispute adjudication boards (DABs) and proceedings before local courts, with advice on projects across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Australia, South America and Africa.
