Andy Bedford has over 30 years’ experience in the infrastructure sector, including energy, waste, utilities, transport, nuclear and property development. As Low Carbon Development Director, his role is to drive the decarbonisation strategy for the Encyclis fleet, and he has led negotiations with the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero for Encyclis to build the first full-scale carbon capture plant on an Energy Recovery Facility at Protos in Cheshire. Encyclis has also become the first EfW business to replace diesel with HVO as a startup fuel at our Newhurst ERF facility, and we are progressing District Heating developments at our Newhurst, Rookery South and Walsall sites.
