Stephen is a highly respected individual within the renewable energy, waste, resources, and environment sector with over 20 years’ experience at a senior level. Stephen started his career in the environment at Cranfield University completing his degree and engineering doctorate. Since completing his studies Stephen has worked within the private sector at a senior level for several waste management companies and global environmental infrastructure consultancies. Stephen is familiar with most waste treatment technologies having been involved either with their design or operation. Stephen has held senior roles in operations, business development, engineering, and general management and has supported projects within the UK and globally.
In 2018 Stephen founded Ceres to provide independent knowledge-based services to developers, investors, and operators in the UK, Ireland, and Europe to support the success of their business whilst reducing the impact on the environment.
Stephen takes an active role within the sector and has sat on several Boards including CIWM, IBioIC and the Irish Composting and Anaerobic Digestion Association. Stephen is an industrial advisor to Cranfield University and an active member of CIWM and regularly contributes articles and opinion pieces to various publications.
