Cameron specialises in the project financing and development of infrastructure and energy projects, primarily acting on behalf of sponsors and funders. Over the last few years, Cameron has focussed heavily on waste-to-energy, biomass, biogas and renewable energy projects. Most recently, Cameron led Ashurst's team on the development and financing of the first carbon capture plant in the energy from waste sector, the project financed Protos CCS facility, which reached financial close on 2 October 2025, funded through a combination of UK Government grant payments, commercial bank debt and equity. With over three decades of experience in the energy and infrastructure space, Cameron has been involved in a number of market leading projects including the Walsall EfW Project, Riverside Resource Recovery Facility, Earls Gate EfW CHP Project, Dublin EfW Project, Deeside AD Facility, Runcorn EfW Project, Protos ERF and Newhurst ERF projects to name just a few.
